Y&E Cooking class
This year we kicked off our cooking class, at Ivy Tech’s hospitality kitchen. We’re excited to partner with Chef Stanley Trice and Ivy Tech for this program. Children will learn lifetime skills by practicing basic math skills such as counting, weighing, measuring, and tracking time. They also gain social skills by working together and communicating in the kitchen. Plus, teaching the youth how to cook is an opportunity to teach nutrition education like planning meals and making smart food choices.

Speaking topics:
finding your purpose
Living each day with purpose brings meaning to even the most ordinary of days. This segment will challenge students to live each day intentionally and to find meaning in the every day.
Leading in Your Community
Each of us has the opportunity to make a difference in our community by being active leaders. This segment will teach students the importance of seeing the need in their communities and doing something about that need.
Self-Worth
Many youth are struggling with knowing their own worth and suffer with low self-esteem, depression, and anger. In this session, students learn that their worth doesn't come from being perfect and that they have a purpose to pursue.
