We know that reading proficiency plays an important role in the development and success of a student both in and out of the classroom. Through the Need to Read Program, we teach students that reading is not only important but also fun. We achieve this by bringing community leaders, college students, and volunteers into the classrooms to spend time reading to the students.
The Vanderburgh County Library has partnered with the Young & Established Need to Read Program to offer book drives and library cards for students.
Please contact us if you would like for us to come read to your students.
